As people’s life goes better and better, and the requirements grows up. For most of the good cars, they are famous for the good driving smoothness and low noise. While driving a car, vibration come out meanwhile damage the vehicle structure, caused serious influence to the vehicle’s safety and life time. Aiming at difference in vehicle vibration noise generated by the vibration source, kinds of measures for damping noise reduction are adopted. One of the most widely used is the rubber shock absorber, it can not only have the effect of damping noise reduction and adjust compensation pipeline function, and can eliminate pipe heat bilges cold shrink phenomenon caused by temperature change, but also can avoid the damage of pipeline system caused by foundation settlement. Because of the limitations of the traditional experimental design method, limits the development shock absorbers and it can’meet the of market demand. In this paper, based on the current production equipment and process, we finished the basic design for the shock absorber and the process parameter design, This paper mainly through the following three aspects to study:1) Through internship in plant workshop and the related documents, make the production equipment, process, and quality situation clear, and also FEA as a new design method used in damper design and related technology development present situation and direction both at home and aboard.2) Take a FEA to the main spring parts, based on the rubber elasticity theory and rubber hardness to work out the Mooney-Rivlin coefficient of material constitutive model. As this basis, take the rubber buffer block as the research object, compare with the FEA curve and the test one, to verify the result. And use this model to do the basic design for the shock absorber.3) According to the production and process capacity, based on the current equipment including bonding machine, degreasing line, vulcanization machine and flaring machine do some parameters optimize, and according to this, check all of the issues, and finish parameter optimization.
