In the process of biomass gasification, it is inevitable to produce by-products, among which the most important is the tar. So the development of efficient and efficient in addition to coke equipment,optimization of biomass tar removal system, to improve the efficiency of biomass purification, reducing energy consumption is the key problem to realize the scale development of biomass gasification technology. With the continuous development of biomass gasification technology, a variety of biomass gas removal methods have been developed. According to the principle of the process of coke removal, the two methods are physical and thermo chemical. The venturi scrubber is physical wet decoking equipment, it has better economy, so it is an important part to improve the efficiency of removing coke. The project has actually study of venturi scrubber efficiency.The rectangular section of venturi scrubber as research object, Firstly, through the three-dimensional modeling software CATIA to model the venturi scrubber, then apply ICEM software to grid, finally the numerical simulation is carried out by ANSYS-FLUENT software, choosing physical model and simulation method, choosing the project commonly used models of venturi scrubber, And comparing with the circular section of the venturi scrubber, in the case of two different types of washing liquid spray, studying on the venturi scrubber internal biomass gas collision flow, biomass gas and washing liquid droplet capture, getting several conditions on the flow field inside the venturi scrubber velocity and pressure changes, velocity contours, and change the coordinates of the points on a graph.Finally, to obtain the relationship between the pressure loss and the efficiency of coke removal by the mathematical model, the efficiency of coke removal in several cases are obtained and compared. The results of venturi scrubber in engineering application has a certain guiding role.
