Double-base propellant is a kind of defense based product which has been widely used. The research of material property is urgent so as to improve the productivity of double-base propellant and ensure the safety of production, and the dialectical relationships between material properties, process conditions and production equipments need to be found. Furthermore, the best production conditions of different equipments are selected and the appropriate process structure is designed according to the property of the material. To solve the above problems, it is necessary to test some important process parameters, such as temperature, pressure of the material and so on.The research focuses on the screw pressure process during the production of double-base propellant. The dynamics of material temperature and pressure are analyzed in theory, and according to the indexes and requirements of the task, a double parameter and multi-channel test framework is proposed based on the new concept dynamic test. Moreover, a material temperature and pressure testing system is designed and developed further. The test system contains a multi-channel temperature tester, a multi-channel pressure tester and a PC. In which the tester consists of a front-end sensor, signal conditioning module, AD conversion module, collection and storage module, logic control module and communication interface. It is also the core unit of the test system. After the object parameters of screw process have been collected and stored by the tester, the data is read back via the USB and analyzed by PC. The system is modular with low power consumption, and the internal battery power can guarantee 10 hours of testing task.The sensitivity of the system is determined by the calibration of the test system. The test results are satisfactory according to the simulation of the experimental data analysis. This system is able to test the material characteristics of the screw pressure process, and it provides a reliable data basis for analyzing the properties of the material, improving the process equipment and production efficiency and ensuring the safety of production.
