Rotary drilling rig is a kind of common construction machinery and equipment, in the construction of large diameter pile foundation for its good performance, high efficiency, less pollution and widely used. Drill pipe is an important part of the rotary drilling rig, which is the key component of the rotary drilling rig to transmit power and control the drill bit. Many different kinds of drill pipe, including machine lock type drill pipe transmission torque and big wob, and require high mechanical properties. Failure often occurs in the construction, resulting in failure of drill pipe. Rotary digging drill rod is variable cross-section of a typical long rod, in the mutation section, stress concentration and prone to failure.The point key of this paper is the analysis of the lock type drill pipe, the type of drill pipe in the work of the load is more complex. According to the actual structure of the drill pipe to establish three-dimensional modeling, and little impact on the results of the structure is simplified. By using the finite element ANSYSWorkbench, the static stress analysis of the drill pipe is done, and by analyzing the results, it is found that the stress concentration area of the drill pipe. Then compared with the drill pipe failure in the actual construction work, analyze the reason of drill pipe failure.The stress concentration area is mainly in the key board and add pressure of pipe. The internal bonding plate is the main component of the transmission torque and the pressure, which is the most concentrated area of the link between the rod and the rod. The structure of the stress concentration of the drill pipe is optimized and improved, and the optimized structure and initial structure are compared and analyzed to determine the effectiveness of the improved structure.Platen as the under one of the key components of the pressure and need to optimize the structure and material, the structure before and after the optimization of stress analysis and contrast. Examples of the improvements of the drill pipe, the improved drill pipe for the trial, and the use of feedback, from the practice to prove that the improvement is effective.
