The parameter of target s velocity is an important index to reflect its movement characteristics. It is widely used in transportation, nation defense, industry, agriculture,scientific research and many other fields. In interior ballistic, the velocity reflects the motion law and the characteristics of ammunition, and it has significant application value to measure the velocity accurately. Aiming at the problem of the shorter effective signal and the longer accquisition signal, the low precision of the velocity measuring, the weak energy of the accquisition signal when getting out of the chamber under different environment currently, a velocity measurement scheme was proposed to effectively measure the velocity of high-speed moving target in interior ballistic.In the first place according to the characteristics of the Doppler signal, a method based on the improved multiple-window energy ratio and the short-time Fourier transform(STFT)combining with the Doppler s Principle was proposed to extract the effective signal automaticlly. It solved the problem of extracting the actual effective signal difficultly.Secondly, due to the extremum method was greatly interfered by environmental factors and the time-frequency resolution of the STFT method was hard to balance, a velocity measurement scheme based on S ttansform was adopted. Besides, It effectively measured the velocity of the frequency modulation analog signals, the target motion analog signals and the practical test signals in shooting range. Finally, according to the condition of the missing velocity segments caused by the external environment, the method of cubic spline interpolation and the least squares polynomial fitting were used to model the missing velocity.Meanwhile, the particle filter was adopted to completed the recovery and optimizaiton of the velocity.The experimental results showed that: under the condition of that the SNR of the target motion analog signal is 10 dB and the range of the velocity is between 0 and 1023.4216 m/s,the measurement error of the standard deviation is 2.230700 m/s, and the measurement precision of the maximum muzzle velocity is up to 0.2881%.
