The design of highway landscape in China started late, relatively backward technology and theory of landscape design, there is no mature evaluation methods, the lack of perfect evaluation system, especially on construction of mountainous expressway. This article takes the YaXi mountain highway as the research object, through data investigation, field survey, theoretical analysis and design methods of practice, according to the special geographical location and ecological environment conditions, the following are driving the development of local economy, and to the ecological environmental protection principle, for mountain area highway landscape design research.This paper analyzes the characteristics of mountainous highway from the aspects such as planning, design and construction, and analyzes the characteristics of the ecological environment of mountainous area from two aspects of the environment system and ecosystem in the mountainous area. In this base, this paper analyzes the influence of the highway construction and operation process on local natural environment, social environment and the influence of some special ecological environment, and takes the mountain area highway landscape coordination analysis, elaborates the definition of highway design coordination, at last proposes designing principles of mountainous area highway coordination.On the analysis of mountainous area highway coordination, this paper puts forward the theory of mountain area highway landscape design, the main content is the CEV theory, namely the mountainous area highway landscape design theory of culture, ecology, vision and mind, CEV theory plays a basic theory role of landscape design, has a great guidance for landscape design. Put forward highway landscape design individuation, sustainable development, the integrity and other principles from the perspective of ecological and environmental protection of mountain area. From the view of the landscape, this paper proposes performance methods such as borrow scene, places, framing and explain the corresponding design ideas from several aspects of road line selection, the environment, landscape planting, reducing the pollution.On the basis of the above theory, this paper takes the Yaxi highway as an example, to deal with the complicated geological conditions of Yaxi highway, prone to landslides and engineering characteristics of the natural disaster such as mud-rock flow, at the same time make full use of Yaxi highway along the beautiful natural environment, rich human landscape, according to the "adjust measures to local conditions, bright color, environmental protection" principle, combining the particularity, complexity, difficulty characteristics of mountainous highway design. Implementing the construction concept of safety, environmental protection, comfortable, harmonious in accordance with the" prevention first, protection priority, prevention and control, comprehensive control "design principle, this paper makes the detailing research and analysis about Yaxi highway mountain line selection, roadbed, median, interchange bridge, tunnel, animal channel and other key parts of the landscape design, keeping the minimal damage to the local environment, the recovery of the strength of the strongest protection and the highest limit, maximum beautiful in the highway design process, realizing the highway project coordination with local environment, the perfect unity of highway construction, environmental protection and landscaping, at last providing a solid theoretical basis and design scheme for mountain area highway landscape design. This study can provide similar mountain area highway landscape design to provide theoretical basis and engineering reference.
