Design Of Braille Learning Machine Based On Three Needle Drive

Braille is designed for the blind specially,and it is a kind of character relying on the tactile to identify, a unit which is composed of six points around two columns represents one syllable, different combinations of uprising and flat represent different pronunciation.Traditional braille books (including textbooks) are made by stamping which have high demand for paper,so the cost is much higher than ordinary books.The braille learning machine’s contact is hard material,and it can control the corresponding convexity and reset according to displayed contents through a variety of technical means.Special equipment is expensive on the market in modern society, the price is directly proportional to the technological content and the number of words in single page.The machine is used in the research and demonstration largely and it is difficult to popularize widely.The braille learning machine which can display single line is designed,and it is aimed at convenience,utility,portability and low price,it has voice module to assist study and display module to help tutorship.In order to reduce the number of driving parts as much as possible,we designed a new type of convex point driving mechanism-three needle drive.According to the displayed contents and the encoding rules of braille, step motor can control it move along the rail from left to right, and three needle drive drive contact forming corresponding convex point in the form of scan.The paper puts forward a new type of convex point generating device-convex switch, it includes sleeve, base and mandrill.and it can exchange the concave points and convex points alternately with the action of three needle drive.According to the mechanical structure of concave and convex switch and convex point forming process, we designed unique reset layer,it can achieve fully reset only through one button.The design improves the electromagnetic compatibility, stability of system the stability of the system, the battery life and service life.Learning machine is composed of common components which is cheap,and it is easy to control the cost of machine and is helpful to popularization and application.
