An Application Research On The Decoration Art Of Manchu Local-style Dwelling Houses From The Perspective Of Cultural Sociology

In the context of the increasing globalization, the connection between Chinese culture and world culture is closer and closer. When foreign advanced culture is flooding into our country and brings a new development direction for Chinese culture, it is also greatly impacting on the benign development of our ethnic culture. Moreover, as a multinational country, the development of minority culture has a profound impact on that of Chinese national culture. The dying of Manchu culture is one of the typical examples of national culture being impacted by globalization. The development of Manchu culture is running into difficulty. In such a context, this study makes a further exploration of Manchu’s residential buildings ornament culture, using the subject theories of Cultural Sociology, aiming to make due efforts to save Manchu culture in imminent danger.This paper is based on the present condition that both at home and abroad the study of Manchu’s residential buildings ornament culture under the guidance of Cultural Sociology is blank, and is under the background that there is not systematical research on it. Much preparation work is done in the early stage, especially after the learning and understanding of Cultural Sociology, a clear venation for this study is provided. And to learn about the residential buildings of Manchu, much field research and documents searching has been done. For the author himself is from a Manchu autonomous county of Hebei province, first-hand data for this study is gained at the local, which provides favorable condition for the smooth conduct of the study. In the study, it first gives a brief overview of Cultural Sociology and Manchu’s residential buildings ornament culture. Then by combining theories of Cultural Sociology and the culture of Manchu’s residential buildings, it analyzes the similarities between the two and the feasibility of carrying out the study. Meanwhile this paper generalizes and summarizes the innate laws and principles between the two. On the premise of enlarging and developing Manchu’s residential buildings ornament culture. it can be used in the design of hotel spaces scientifically and reasonably.From the research on Manchu’s residential building ornament culture, this paper broadens people’s horizon of future studies on Chinese traditional culture and make people awaken to the crisis of the decline of ethnic minority culture like Manchu culture.
