Marshalling Yard acts as a key node in railway freight train sort operations, its operational efficiency and the quality have a direct impact on railway freight transport efficiency. Marshalling Yard Operation Sim-system is set up based on this background, which aims to improve the education quality of the students, and to achieve continuous connections between talent training in college and the use of talents in companies.The plan of the utilizing of Up-and-Down lines and locomotives is an importance part of the stage plan in marshalling yard, and it is also the foundation of reasonable, efficient and orderly completion of yard operations, the research on the automatic operation arrangement system for disassembled trains can also help to change the traditional ways of making the stage plan, improve the operational efficiency in marshalling yard, at the same time the plan for disassembled trains is the key point to the running of Marshalling Yard Operation Sim-system.Based on the plan of the utilizing of Up-and-Down lines and locomotives for disassembled trains, the main contents of this paper are as below:(1) The paper makes a simple introduction to the Marshalling Yard Operation Sim-system, then analyzes the important factors of the arrangement of lines and locomotives in marshalling yard, such as the relationship between the utilizing plan of Up-and-Down lines and locomotives,wagon-flow allocation in stage plan. The generalized dynamic wagon-flow allocation model is established by considering the disassembling sequence of inbounding trains and the wagon-flow allocation problem which determines the disassembling sequences of the disassembled trains.(2) The paper introduces the relevant operation process and contents in arrival and departure yard, and analyzes the crossroads between the train route and shunting route, then determines the time that the train operation takes up of Up-and-Down lines and throat area, shunting operation to take up the time of Up-and-Down lines, throat area and the hump. Finally, based on the disassembling sequences, considering the throat occupying constraint, the using of Up-and-Down lines and locomotive model is set up. To solve this model, a corresponding heuristic algorithm is designed.(3) Based on the .net programming platforms and ACCESS database technology, automatic operation arrangement system in marshaling yard is established. Using the system can automatically determine the wagons of the outbounding trains, the disassembling sequence, the utilizing of Up-and-Down lines and locomotive, and the occupying of the throat in arrival yard.
