In recent years, as the construction of more and more long and large tunnels, which are complex and geological, the TSP advance geological forecast technology has been widely used for its unique advantages, as the importance of application is more prominent. But in the actual process of forecasting, the efficiency and accuracy of forecasts is not high, even errors at times, which disguisedly increases the difficulty of tunnel construction. The main reason is three aspects:the engineering factors that affect the acquisition of field data, data processing technology and the assessment experience of interpretation results. Among these aspects, the data processing technology is relatively perfect, however the acquisition of field data and interpretation method have the room for further improvement.This paper is based on the advance geological forecast of TSP203 Plus system used in the Guangdaxian Xiazhuang No.1 Tunnel. Through the analysis of the engineering factors, which caused the error in all aspects of data acquisition process, put forward the concept of primary and secondary factors. The method to reduce the influence of these engineering factors is proposed according to the principle of TSP forecasting technology. A new interpretation method to make up for the deficiency of TSP forecasts, which can determine the water condition of surrounding rock more accurately, obtained through the analysis of Poisson’s ratio and VP/VS that rock mechanical parameters of the in front of surrounding rock are calculated on the base of the TSP203Plus system. Finally, the improvement of efficiency and accuracy in forecast of these methods and means is verified in the actual application of the Guangdaxian Xiazhuang No.1 Tunnel, which has the significance of reference to the future TSP advance geological forecast of tunnel.
