Experimental Study On The Impact Of Traffic Information On Travelers’ Route Choice Behavior

With the rapid development of our country’s urbanization and the sharp increase in the number of cars, our country’s urban traffic congestion problem is increasingly serious. With the expansion of the road, improve the road facilities in response to traditional methods, such as there was a deficiency in the existing traffic conditions. Based on this situation, since the 1980s experts at home and abroad began gradually to study the effect of traffic information on travel behavior and relatively mature research results are obtained. This paper summarizes traffic behavior influencing factors related to traffic information on the basis of research methods, in order to better simulate the people paths in the transportation process of travel choice behavior, behavior experiment method is adopted to study the traffic information’s influence on the individual traveler route choice behavior.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the main factors influencing the influence of the People’s Daily travel decisions and decision criteria, sorting and describes the existing traffic information release content and way of release. Later, this paper through the individual traveler and traffic system in the traffic information affect the travel decision criterion for a brief description, which shows the important role of traffic information on travel decisions. Secondly, this paper through the brief introduction of the behavior experiment methods and tools, and proposed research individual traveler route choice behavior on the basis of experimental design and advantage. Finally, this paper using z-Tree software set up the experimental platform for transportation information in the release content, characteristic value and the processing of the corresponding experiment. Experiments have been constructed for the traveler in the four different scenarios of daily travel,30 subjects in 3 roads participating 20 rounds of transportation experiments in the simulated network to consider the individual traveler chose a way under the influence of information factors change strategy change, and traveler overall decision-making for the entire transportation network traffic flow conditions the effect of the distribution.At the same time and in the same network, those travelers get complete information their decision-making is superior to those get some information. And road network in 50% of travelers to obtain complete information than all travelers to obtain complete information can improve the operation efficiency of road network. Finally, after the traveler in the system to provide processing traffic information, the information processed to the traveler decision-making is better than those did not get processing traffic information.
