A Research On Division And Protection Of Drinking Water Source Zones Of Small-and Medium-Sized Reservoirs In Xingye Townships Of Guangxi

This paper takes Dashui Reservoir of Kuiyang Town,Deli Reservoir of Kuiyang Town, Huashou Reservoir of Putang Town and Hongjiang Reservoir of Beishi Town in Xingye as the research objects, in order to further research the division and protection zones of drinking water source of small-and medium-sized reservoirs in Guangxi Xingye townships, to ensure the safety of drinking water, and to solve the problems existing in the division and protection of the zones. The investigation started from March 25th,2014 in relevant research areas.Based on technical methods for the division of drinking water source protection zones in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the research make use of RS and GIS technology to divide protection zones of drinking water source.Some methods were provided to settle correlative protection and management issues.the main research results are as follows:(1)The basic situation of water quality has been mastered and the quality of the water body has been evaluated. It has been clear that the main pollution source in the area was non-point source pollution, which mainly included rural life pollution, farmland run off pollution and the pollution from dispersion-typed livestock and poultry breeding. The fecal coliform bacteria in Putang Town has exceeded the standard. The degree of eutrophication of the 4 reservoirs were determined as in nutrition.(2)Divide the four protection zones of drinking water source. The scopes of protection area of water and land were finally determined.Analysis and determine the agricultural irrigation water and potable water does not conflict.Water protection areas and regional plans are coordination.(3)The research put forward protection measures and management suggestions, and ensured the sustainable development for the area from several aspects, such as the regulation of illegal buildings, the implementation of pollution control project, the enforcement of related regulations and laws, the establishment and improvement of management organizations and perfect target responsibility mechanism. Meanwhile, it also provided reference for the similar situation in Guangxi.
