Metro vehicle base, including depot and parking lot, is the place for metro vehicle storing, using and repairing. It organizes the work of train arriving, dispatching and shunting as the centre of repairing and maintenance. Plan is the base of train operation, and the management of plan is still stay on the stage which plan is made by handwork and executed by paper handover or fax dispatching. The means of train dispatching is backward. So it’s essential to establish a train operation management information system which can intelligently make and automatically execute plans.The train operation management information system of metro vehicle base depends on the management and control integrated automation platform of metro vehicle base, and it uniformly manages planning and execution.1. For train operation planning, the paper established each assignment model of train daily operation and arriving plan using the theory of combinatorial optimization. Then designed genetic algorithm and heuristic algorithm based on rules for model solution. Through compare and analysis, the paper chosen the heuristic algorithm based on rules because it’s simple, efficient and stable. At last, through computer programming, the system could automatically establish train daily operation and arriving plan according to train operation diagram, the requirements of maintenance and vehicle in the yard, etc.2. For shunting planning, the paper converted it to shunting route search problem of shunting trip plan, and designed route search algorithm based on route table. The algorithm automatically decided all shunting routes based on the source and destination of shunting. Then generated shunting trip plan according to the shunting route. Through computer programming, the system automatically generated shunting plan by dragging train.3. Train operation plan executed automatically. The system detected the execution time of plan in real time, and triggered the execution of plan when the plan met trigger conditions. When the plan was executing, the system generated instructions based on train operation path firstly, then PRC converted these instructions to the start and end button of interlocking route, and the interlocking system began to prepare route. After the signal was open, the train occupied and went through the route, and the system automatically reported the time of the plan. Meanwhile, the system fed back execution results in real time and updated yard display and plan state.Based on the data from metro line 3 of Chengdu, the system had been tested a lot in laboratory simulation environment. It turned out that the system could automatically establish accurate train operation plan in a short time. The system could automatically trigger plan execution as well as guarantee it’s accuracy and security by hierarchical information interlocking technology.The train operation management information system of metro vehicle base is fully functional, intelligent and friendly. It combines the management of train operation plan with its execution, so it implements the integration of train management and control of metro vehicle base. The system can significantly reduce the labor intensity of field staffs and make train operate orderly, safely and efficiently. And it can reduce train operation management cost and improve train operation efficiency of metro vehicle base.
