Integral Composite Reinforced Concrete Shear wall (CSW) is a system consisting of site-cast concrete filled between two exterior prefabricated slabs with rib, which is connected by the site-cast concrete throught opening lcated at the T-rib, that is called dowel action. Instead of complicated procedures by using sleeve grouting method in precast shear wall, the connection of vertical reinforcing steel can go directly adopt a split joint mode which is similar to cast-in-situ concrete structure, and beneficial to increase efficiency. The composite shear walls, superimposed floor slabs, superposed beam and related connected node can form one body result from the reinforcement and post-poured concrete in the composite area.To study the axial compressive performance of integral composite reinforced concrete sheer wall(CSW), investigated the mechanical properties, failure mode, and bearing capacity under axial load, the height-thickness ratio, the proportion of prefabrication area with gross area concrete (Prefabricated rate) and the direction of rib in prefabricated slab were analyzed through axial compression full-scale tests on one piece of cast-in-situ sheer wall and seven pieces of integral composite sheer wall. The results show that, failure mode of CSW is divided into cracking on composite surface and axial compression damage, to cracking on composite surface, there is an obvious cracking phenomenon and the process slow, low bearing capacity of specimens before damage, to axial compression damage, the specimen surface have no apparent cracks, failure process with a sudden, bearing capacity is higher. The height-thickness ratio has small effect on ultimate bearing capacity of the CSW, the prefabricated rate higher, the compression stiffness greater, the vertical deformation of CSW smaller, the direction of rib in prefabricated slab has little impact on the compressive properties of CSW.On account of the compressive failure pattern and summarize the bearing capacity formula of the axial compression member from the Chinese, American code, and relevant scholars, the simplified calculation formula of integral composite reinforced concrete sheer wall to axial load is given. the calculated value are relatively conservative than that experimental, and can provided a reference for the further investigation and application of the CSWs.The finite element analysis by ABAQUS was conducted to simulate the axial compression behavior of CSWs, and the results between analysis and test were close for specimens that hanpan to axial compression damage, which indicate that the penalty function apply in filite element mode to define the bond behavior between the new and old concrete can can be better simlulate the failure pattern and ultimate bearing capacity of axial compression for CSW, and the ultimate compression bearing capacity decreast with the increaseting of height-thickness ration, the greater the grade of the concrete in composite layer, the greater the bearing capacity of CSWs, after that, the longitudinal reinforcement ratio does not seem to significantly affect CSW strength.
