As a complicated and large system, power transmission and distribution is likely to malfunction or be abnormal situation which can result in drastic consequences. To avoid this situation, the high-tension transmission lines between each substation usually use power relay protection equipment to monitor and test the various types of faults and anomalies, such as short circuit and overload.In present, the fiber optic communication interface in the relay protection system of power network mainly adopt C37.94 criterion. To effectively and safely access the optical transmission network of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy(SDH) for it, this topic studied the domestic and foreign development present situation of protection equipment and proposed an optical interface single-deck scheme with microcontrollers belonging to STM32 series. The scheme based on interface requirement of C37.94 criterion and communication mode in digital multiplexing equipment filled the domestic blank in interface card of C37.94 criterion,and present relay protection devices of domestic mainstream manufacturers are adopted different optical interface standards have bigger influence on the multiplexing channel, and alternatives of other manufacturers is flawed.This paper mainly studies C37.94 standard optical access card, realize access and multiplexing transmission of optical fiber communication for C37.94 standards light mouth. At the same time realize protection switching and Automatic Laser Shutdown/Reduction, ensure normal effective implementation of access and output workWith common ST fiber interface module, this topic coming from a enterprise adopts FPGA to parse the C37.94 communication criterion, then microcontrollers are used to realize interface management and function realization. First the paper detailedly designs hardware architecture and each functional module of single-deck. Introduced system hardware architecture and structure design of MCU and FPGA and their pin function, at the same time the paper introduces the agreement between plate interface function module and the software design method of FPGA driver module and protection switching module.Second, the paper regulate communication protocol between every function module and upper computer relatively. Design the corresponding private communication protocol, and explains the relevant detailed transmission format and contents of the message Third, we also make the detailed introduction to the embedded development of upper computer. Development of upper computer is mainly on VxWorks embedded development, This paper only introduced related embedded development work of new interface card.Lastly, the paper systematacially tests the function of software and hardware of the single-deck. Completed reading and writing test of FPGA and external FLASH,and ripple stability test of power supply voltage,and reset signal of MCU on electricity,and E1 signal timing, and index test of C37.94 standard light mouth. At the same time we fully test function of serial communication and corresponding business functions.
