With the development of China’s railway industry, high-speed railway has entered a stage of comprehensive construction. It puts forward higher requirements for the safety and reliability of railway power supply system. While one of the important factors that affect the safety and reliability of railway power supply system is the reliability of the equipment. GIS switch is the main control equipment in the power system, and its running state directly relates to the safety of railway transportation. Therefore, it is very important to monitor timely and evaluate the operation condition Synthetically of GIS switch.The basic structure of traction substation integrated supervisory and control system was introduced this paper, and then according to its characteristics of the structure and function, the overall program of the switch GIS monitoring system is given and the main monitoring IED function analysis is given. Firstly, the basic structure of traction substation integrated monitoring system was introduced in this paper, then according to characteristics of the structure and function of the traction substation integrated monitoring system, the overall programme of the GIS switch monitoring system and the function of monitoring system is analysis briefly. Secondly the advantages and disadvantages of various types of evaluation algorithms are analyzed with the function of state evaluation in functional analysis, and the fuzzy evaluation algorithm based on combination weighting is proposed in GIS switch monitoring. Combining the AHP method and the entropy weight method, the fuzzy theory is used to obtain the evaluation results. The calculation process and results are given by the calculation and analysis of examples. Finally the software design of the main IED for GIS switch monitoring is carried out. And the design scheme of each module is given by using the modular design method. Including database design witch contains real-time database and historical database design, the design of evaluation of the operation condition Synthetically and the design of communication wicth including the communication of main IED and sub IED, communication of the main IED and integrated application.Setting up the test platform, the function of monitoring the main IED software is tested; the correctness of the communication modules which connect the main IED with the sub IED or the integrated application server are verified, and the correctness of the main IED comprehensive evaluation function module is verified, the method of comprehensive evaluation of the main IED is feasible, assessment function module is correct.
