Sports Park Planning Based On The Needs For Public Recreational Sports Of Citizens

With the social and economical development of China and the improving living conditions of people, the citizens are getting increasingly concerned about the government work in the city’s greening, especially the construction of the parks, in which citizens can spend leisure time and practice recreational sports. As the citizens’ needs for physical exercises grow, consequently, the Sports Parks, as one kind of specialized public parks in the city, are booming in China.Sports Parks provide the citizens with comfortable, natural environment to do physical exercises. They also increase the greenarea of the cities and enhance the ecological benefits. However, a series of issues, such as the irrational selection of the field projects, the detachment of design and field conditions, etc., emerge during the planning and construction of sport parks. This article focused on the needs for recreational sports of Beijing citizens, evaluated some recreational sport projects and conducted technical analysis on corresponding fields. It was aiming to provide the citizens who live in surrounding communities to the specified block with more rational, recreational sports oriented, and needs-fulfilled sport parks.
