Studies And Evaluation On Exterior Environment Of Public Cultural Buildings In Pearl River Delta

The cultural public buildings not only can enhance the image of the city, but also can provides places for cultural activities. The environmental landscape of the cultural public buildings focus on the establishment of a blend of people and the environment. The building of landscape and architecture should be coordinated to provide basic services and create a cultural atmosphere of public space for the public by themselves.The environmental landscape of 51 cultural public buildings from Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhuhai and Zhongshan 6 key development cities in the Pearl River Delta were investigated. Including space of entrance plaza, recreation, passageway, waterscape, foundation planting and public facilities were investigated with semantic differential technique in which evaluating and analyzing the architectural style, spatial perception, regional cultural characteristics, vegetation factor and public service facilities to provide a scientific mode and theoretical reference for the construction of public cultural facilities in the future. The research results as follow:(1)The Pearl River Delta cultural public buildings landscape style were tended to the modern style. With traditional style the characteristic of regional culture were more obvious in some cultural public buildings. The artificial traces were relatively strong and lack of seasonal appearance of plant in landscape. The indicative sign was not obvious. There were still and artificial water in supplying the landscape. The vegetation were good scene in which the plant configuration mode were stratified mixed.(3)combined with the cultural environment of public buildings a broad landscape and vegetation factors in evaluation results, summarized the overall effect better spatial reference scenarios and the corresponding reference models of plant arrangement.By SD method for evaluation of the cultural landscape for public buildings, draw users more satisfied with landscape scenes, which provides scientific and practical environment for the construction of public cultural facilities construction model and reference.
