Study On Experience Design Of Urban Wetland Park

Wetland in China is being increasingly encroached and destroyed with the process of urbanization. The area of wetland in China is dramatically decreasing and the ecological situation is not optimistic. During the past few years, Urban Wetland Park has entered into the public view and has been popular in China’s construction boom. It plays a role of balance and harmony as a bridge between wetland resource protection and urban development construction. Taking Urban Wetland Park as a carrier, this paper will make a literature review about fundamental concepts and practical theories, as well as doing both domestic and foreign case studies, and then focus on how to improve and enrich the experience functions including education, promotion and others during the Urban Wetland Park’s planning and designing process.On the basis of theory and case studies, this paper will carry out a design of the Tuhai Wetland Park in Xiuyu District, Putian city. Aiming at protecting and restoring the wetland’s ecological functions as well as realizing the park’s tour and experience functions, the design will display an Urban Wetland Park space adapting to local natural environment, cultural background and construction techniques, relying on existing natural characteristic and local culture background.
