In 2015, professor Zhang Lei established the Sustainable Rural Studio in Nanjing University of architecture and urban planning school. A pretty daughter whose family name is Lei wanted to build a small house for her father losing his right arm many years ago.This small house will belong to the Sustainable Rural Studio of the first batch of practice project.This project is located in E Moutain Township,TongLu County,Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.E Moutain Township is the only minority nationality township Zhejiang northwest with a unique She nationality culture。It still keeps the use of minority languages and customs of weddings.Lei is one of the four major surnames.ShanYinwu village is located in the mountains embrace, backing mountain facing water, only through a length of 2.5 kilometers of mountain line connected to E Moutain Township.In recent years, with the further development of the society and economy,villagers’ income is increasing.They built two or three floors of the hous one by one.In this context, this daughter and her father invited Professor Zhang Lei to design a house in ShanYinwu village and are interested in representing guesthouses in the future.Small house design combines the characteristics of Shes’traditional houses and modern lifestyle characteristics.At the top of the meditation room with full respect for the original inhabitants of the ancestral house of cards on top of the traditional position.The first floor with open space meet the needs of modern communication.Facade adopts brick factory waste materials, not only enhance the overall performance of building insulation, but also to reflect local characteristics and reflect the local characteristics.Not only enhance the overall performance of building insulation,Under the window holes reserved can insert a bamboo pole and can be used to dry crops, which not only meet the functional requirements, but also shows the local life style.Due to the main users of the house is the old man losing his right arm many years ago,the author focused on barrier free design in this design, and studies of the door handles, closet, bathroom, kitchen detail size according to this 175cm height old father.At present, the project main part has been completed.The small house will be put into use this year.
