With increasingly popularity of home appliaces, not only people’s lives has brought great convenience, but also add a lot of security risks. Therefore, it should be promptly cut off the power supply when no one at home, which Not only save electricity, but also the prevention of fires. With the topic in the smart home and smart phones are widely popular in the background, We propose a smartphone-based electrical switch control means, implemented using smart phones as a control terminal, to control home appliances function of the switch.This paper mainly completed the following work:1. Through the comparison and analysis of various technologies, developed electrical switches control device based smartphone hardware and software implementation, Including remote control handset application development, The family of Wireless Digital Gateway, Switch control system function modules.2. designed RF module based on n RF905 and hardware circuit based on MSP430, mainly including wireless control module, low-power MSP430 MCU and wireless transmission module n RF905, using Serial conversion device using TRIX-200 TL as the digital home wireless gateway, which relating to radio frequency technology, wireless communication technology and MCU control technology.3. The client uses the most popular Android mobile operating platform, designed and developed an application based on Android phone to control the electrical switches, which allows users to not only by the application to control household appliances switch, but also view the status of home appliances. The mainly difficulty of software design is developing Android applications and n RF905 module configuration application, which involving programming of Java and C/C++ language. What’s more, we also did some performance testing and analysis of interference, to improve reliability of the apparatus.4. after the completion of the hardware, software and mobile APP design, we simulated the system and tested hardware, users need to use the phone to connect to the GPRS networt, sending commands to the wireless digital home gateway through application, then the gateway sending sent to the microcontroller after re-encoding command, to achieve the goal of remoting control. We tested the performance of hardware and software, such as communication distance, system stability, etc. Test results show that the software and hardware of the system is stable, communication distance is moderate, the system achieved the project requirements.
