The radome is not only one of the key parts of radio homing guidance missile, but also an important component of the missile body. Its processing quality directly affects missile guidance accuracy. Radome is made of hard brittle quartz ceramic materials, has a thin revolving body of complicated surface, and has complicated manufacturing process. With the continuous improvement of the missile performance requirements, more and more highly accuracy requirements is put forward in the process of radome machining. However, the current domestic radome processing equipment has low efficiency, which greatly limits the accuracy improvement of radome machining. In order to further improve the radome machining quality and efficiency, this paper studied quartz ceramic radome with complicated surface based on the existing processing equipment.(1) According to the technical requirements of high performance radome, the key technologies of the radome existing processing equipment are deeply analysis. The reasons of radome processing error are concluded. Then this paper puts forward some key problem which needs to be improved based on existing processing equipment, and it provides valuable basis for further effective improvement of equipment.(2) According to low rigidity of installation bracket in radome internal surface grinding process, this paper puts forward the double V shaped frame support cylinder jig way to realize the connection of fixture and machine tool, and designs the V shaped frame. According to overweight of cylinder support, we proceed topology optimization design for support, Using ANSYS Workbench, and reduce the support weight, improve the support stiffness.(3) The modification of MGKS1332/H grinding machine tool is made, design the suspension internal circular grinding device, and install the flange plate with 5# Morse taper. By using the fiite element analysis software ANSYS, make the grinding wheel frame transformation of modal analysis, test results show that the machine dynamic performance meet the requirements after modification.(4) The performance test of radome installation system and spindle system is done. The result shows that the precision of installation system increased significantly, and the performance of spindle system meet the requirements。(5) The experiment is made to verify the measurement, and its result shows that the installation system and machine tool after modification meet the radome grinding requirements. The radome machining precision is improved, and make contributed to the development of China’s defense industry.
