Radome is a key part of active missiles, its electrical performance directly affects the homing accuracy. The high accuracy electronical thickness measurement, aimed at providing theory reference for subsequent precise machining and electrical compensation, is an effective method to enhance the homing accuracy. However, there is still no practical technique and instrument in radome electrical thickness measurement in our country, because highl accuracy and complex process are required. Based on a particular category of domestic missiles, our research team has successfully developed a special instrument This instrument is composed of three subsystems: microwave measurement, machine and computer control. This paper makes focus on the computer control subsystem, which includes hardware and software subsystem. Based on "IPC + motion controller" control mode, combining local control with remote control method, the control system achieves automation & intelligent performance fully, it can satisfy the high accuracy electronical thickness measurementUniversal PMAC lite, the kernel part in the real-time control system, realizes the three axes gang control of four coordinate in measurement instrument In mis paper, an advanced control strategy is proposed to drive the Yaskawa AC-servo system. High-speed communication is achieved through shared DPRAM. The interface technique of PMAC to servo units and encoders has been clearly introduced. Based on ACC-34AA and ACC-39, the control panel function and position following function of handwheel-impulser are furnished. Further more, effective steps have been taken to restrain the electromagnetic interference.The software subsystem consists of two modules: the real-time control and the system management. The real-time control module, which is intended to achieve real-time control of the control system, includes variable initialization, PLC program and G code interpreter program. The system management module, which is intended to achieve system resource assignment and programs dispatching, includes data acquisition and storage, G code auto-building and HMI. Meanwhile, in order to make the measurement information clearly and intuitively display to the user, three assistant sub-modules, including data visualization, data trend display and position emulation, are represented.The computer control subsystem possesses self-contained control function, satisfys the critical requirement of measurement process, and provides emulation modules. Moreover, its high openness provides a broad platform to make function expansion.
