Electronic static shore power, is also called "cold ironing", or Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) by western countries. Shore to ship is referred to that the anchored ships, such as the container ships, oil tankers, passenger ships or other commercial vessels, must to close its diesel generators, and connect the power source on the shore with the cable according to local port regulations. The ship’s lighting, air conditioning and all electricity equipment should be provided electrical energy by the port until the ship leaves the port. Using the shore power rather than the generators can reduce gas and noise pollution caused by the burning of fuel.Our country’s standard voltage and frequency of ship power is 380V/50Hz, while the standard power of most of the foreign ships is 440V/60Hz. The 60Hz power is required when foreign ships docked at our country’s port. So our shipyards and ports must have the electrical equipment that can converter power’s frequency from 50Hz to 60Hz. Compared with the conventional 60Hz power supply, the static shore power supply has high power efficiency, low noise, and good electrical performance, these advantages has always attracted people’s attention.Starting from the basic constitution of the shore power supply, this paper also discussed the way and the configuration of the power supply. The shore power supply can be divided into two sections(three-phase PWM Rectifier and three-phase PWM inverter) based on the main circuit topology, the rectifier and inverter’s Mathematical model were established on the three-phase stationary coordinate system (a, b, c) and two-phase synchronous rotating coordinate system (d, q). In the simulation environment of MATLAB/SIMULINK, the models of these two devices have been established used the feed forward decoupling control strategies, which kid a theoretical foundation for the software development of shore power system for ships.Finally, this paper developed the simulation software of shore power system based on the real ship (8530TEU container) operation logic, which enriched and improved the content and functions of marine engine room simulator, and achieved a friendly, natural man-machine interaction interface. The successful development of the system will promote China’s engineers’education and training.
