With the secondary funeral reform, people began to pay more attention to the cemetery green initiative.Advocacy modern culture and ecological concepts led garden cemetery.And in 2002 in the "Garden of basic terminology standards" will be the cemetery as part of urban green space system, which means that the cemetery will be considered as part of urban public open space,However, currently the cemetery reform is still in the beginning.Since you want to embark on cultural, unique, tasteful modern cemetery landscape needs a great efforts.most public cemetery in Chengdu generally poor environment, the urgent need for more in-depth study of its landscape and make new strategies appropriate cemetery landscape planning and design to follow the trend of the development of the whole society.In this context, Chengdu Public Cemetery as research subjects in this paper,Through literature review, summarized the cemetery landscape planning and design using theoretical methods;using questionnaires, analysis of the characteristics of people go to the cemetery, Cemetery landscape and landscape needs of cemetery;And combined with field research and interviews, summed up the current situation in Chengdu public cemetery landscape, characteristics and problems;Refining Chengdu extract geography, culture, customs and other regional characteristics,So as to explore a new strategy of Chengdu public cemetery landscape planning and design;Combining theory with practice,its update design to the zhuguosi-wangshan cemetery.Drawings in a manner reflecting the Chengdu public cemetery design features and direction, the main conclusions are as follows:(1) The main cemetery planning and design combine ecology, spatial, cultural and emotional design.(2) Characteristics of people visit the cemetery:go to the cemetery, mostly middle-aged, time to go to the cemetery is more concentrated in the traditional worship day usually selected family unit drove to the residence time is generally 1 hour to 3 hours, which leads to cemetery can not function in the usual daily traffic jam in worship;Satisfaction with the current cemetery landscape:landscape design in general is not satisfied with the cemetery now that cemetery ghastly terror;demand for the positioning of the cemetery’s landscape is set worship, enjoy nature, let the mind calm place, prefer more modern style of landscape form, can be accepted as the main tomb style:traditional burial, buried walls, lawn burial, art burial.(3) Chengdu public cemetery space environment problems:the road system is not standardized, in the peak of the cemetery parking chaos; burial ground of lack of distribution space; green coverage rate is low, the lack of features plants; irrational grave space, architectural pieces slipshod; overall tone single cemetery, deserted atmosphere.(4) determine the Chengdu public cemetery landscape planning and design objectives, principles, design elements.
