Bryophytes is one of the most important phylum in the plant kingdom, it is widely distributed in various weather conditions, but easily ignored by the people on account of it’s small. bryophytes’microhabitat research and landscape design research are inferior to other plants consequently. The bryophytes have strong sensitivity to the environment, the impact of environmental factors directly affect the diversity and growth conditions of bryophytes. In this paper, the study area is located in Chengdu Wenjiang parks with significant historic and green rates. This paper investigated the situation and microhabitat distribution of bryophytes diversity in the Wenjiang park and used the consequences of habitat and landscape basic theory to discuss bryophytes bryophytes’design methods.The main findings are as follows:(1)Wenjiang park is rich in plant species with 12 families,18 genera and 19 species within which the autochthonous dominate, followed by lithophytes and those stemming from trees were least. The dominant families of the park’s bryophytes are Pottiaceae, Thuidiaceae and genera Thuidium (Thuidium cymbifolium (Doz. Et Molk.) Doz. Et Molk.), Dense branches fine feather moss(Cryto-hypnum tamariscellum (C. Muell.) Bucket Crum.), gourd moss (Funaria hygrometrica Hedw.) and so on.(2) Bryophytes microhabitats of species richness sorted as follows:rock> stream wetlands> epiphytic by trees> woodland> sparse lawn> shrub lawn> lawn. Bryophytes microhabitats of covarage sorted as follows:rock> sparse lawn> stream wetlands> woodland> shrub lawn> lawn> epiphytic by trees. Affluent in its high sustenance and trace elements, the stream wetlands, shrub lawn and woodland soils are more conducive to the growth of moss. While in rocky conditions the nutrients maybe lower than the other ones, moss can bear a strong resistance against such milieus, and assure the normal growth of itself. The trace elements, nevertheless, out of human influences, stays little different in all kinds of environments except rocky ones. Rock conditions are more favorable for exchanging calcium and magnesium significantly than others while its growing role for moss needs to be further studied.(3)The article proposed three principles of landscape design of bryophytes, say, scientific, cultural and artistic. Then we expounded the design and composition of the bryophytes. Through a streamlined use of bryophytes as from dots, lines to planes and solids as expressing analyzing, we can apply different plants into the landscape. Finally, we raised the matching method of bryophytes and other garden elements and recommended a model. The matching model for autochthonous bryophytes are Thuidium-Zoysia-Ficus virens or liverwort-osmanthus trees-cuckoo or polytrichum-gourd moss-Leucobryum neilgherrense and so on.
