Production scheduling is the most weak and difficult part in a mixed-model production shop management. How to combined the actual production with production scheduling theory is concerned by researchers for many years. Holon has some of the natural characteristics of the autonomous, adaptive, dynamically to meet the complex, multi-constraint, dynamic and robust scheduling requirements in the mixed-model production shop. So holon is introduced into mixed-model production shop. Then give a holon structure in a mixed model production shop system. Also a static scheduling and dynamic scheduling optimization model is established. Finally a method based on hybrid artificial bee colony algorithm and contract net protocol is used to solve the model. The main work is show as follows:Firstly, background, significance, literature review, contents of the research is introduced.Secondly, introduce the characteristics of the mixed-model production shop, the course development of the manufacturing system and the holon manufacturing system. Then propose a Holon architecture about the mixed-model production shop.Third, construct a mathematical model of the mixed model production shop in order to optimize the objective of minimize the idle time and the setup time. Then a hybrid artificial bee colony algorithm is used to solving the model, and an example is established to demonstrate the superiority of the algorithm.Forth, construct a mathematical mode of the mixed model production shop in order to optimize the objective of a smallest difference. Introduce the scheduling policy based on the combination of event-driven and periodic scheduling. An improved contract net protocol and heuristic rules method is used to solve the model.Fifth, develop a shop scheduling prototype system based the concept of holon. Define some modules in the system. Finally, give an instance about scheduling in a motor plant.
