As more and more people pay attention to spirit world, although products combined with visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory and other sensory experiences can better grasp the physiological and psychological experience feelings of consumers, consumers place multiple demands on the products in different levels of humanity and deeply emotional experience requirements based on multi-sensory experience. Thus, meeting the needs of multi-level custom design will be an inevitable trend in the future. Custom design of automotive interior must combine with the physical experience of specific groups, also comprehensive design must be carried out, include function, shape, color, material, the necessary garnish and so on. Therefore, depth study in multi-level requirements based on multi-sensory experience is necessary, not only meet the basic needs of practical function, but also make the cultural style of interior coordination to achieve mental and physical pleasure for different level of customers.Firstly, people’s sensory experience is not simply stay in a physiological sensory meet stage, but a multi-level progressive or depth process based on analyzing sensory experience of relevant theories in this paper. Sensory experience is from "Truth" fundamental stage that meet the basic physiological level and focused on expressing basic utility or substance function in design to "Good" stage that give priority to meet the emotional experience, and even the experience sublimate to "Beauty" stage, which mainly focused on advanced mental activities and "Poetic habitat" soul resonance experience. Based on this study, through case analysis and questionnaires studying sensory factors’ reflection, the different levels’ users’ psychological and psychological preferences are obtained, which can be fundamental basis of formulating demands. Secondly, through deeply analyzing the market, combined with questionnaires’ data analysis to judge the market demand for customized automotive interiors and obtain users’ detailed requirements on custom-designed car interiors, and as a starting point seeking interior design to meet specific market’s needs. Thirdly, design principles are summarized for multi-level users’ experiences, which are included primary sensory experience, emotional and advanced psychological levels for different levels. Finally, the dashboards are designed to meet customized of three different levels. |
