With the rapid development of internet, it will be a new direction for in-vehicle infotainment system in intelligent direction, networked and multi-functional. In-vehicle infotainment system is to create a bridge between human and cars. Semiotics is regarded as the bridge of in-vehicle infotainment between designer and customers. It is to improve the experience of customers and moves forward the understanding and creation of the mode and procedures of this system.This context studies in-vehicle infotainment from a semiotics perspective, it mainly includes three aspects. First of all, it introduce the relevant theory of semiotics and in-vehicle infotainment system, in order to provides the theory foundation for this system, it has two aspects, the one is to explore the semiotics which is the guidance of the design for in-vehicle infotainment, the other is how to guide this system. Secondly. based on the theory of symbol conveys, it will regards the symbols applicant in the interaction design as the meaning elements with the purpose of communication. According to the relation, we pick up the significance of dimensions of in-vehicle infotainment from three levels of semiotics which includes semantics, syntactic, pragmatics, and user cognition and also driving behavior. After that, we can build a mapping among design-behavior-meaning, then we can set a framework under the path of semiotics of in-vehicle infotainment. At last, through the analysis of information framework, interaction design and visual interface design, set up a mapping relation between meaning-design, make the construction of in-vehicle infotainment, and put forward the strategy of in-vehicle infotainment.This paper is based on the theory of semiotics, the reference in the characteristics of isomorphism in two systems, one is interactive transmission model, and the other is symbol delivery mode. To search for the entry point of the semiotics and in-vehicle infotainment study. Pay attention to the process of the transmission of information and behavior patterns, and then demonstrated the design method of in-vehicle infotainment from the perspective of semiotics, verified by practice.
