Clinical visual electrophysiology consists of electroretinogram (ERG), electrooculography(EOG); visual evoked potiential(VEP). It is a common method to test eye’s function in ophthalmology. Visual electrophysiology detection technology is a new important progress in visual electrophysiology. With the help of advanced computer and digital signal processing technology, Olsolated-check stimulating method and VEP signal, it can detect the M cell’s way of communication, and whether the M cell is impaired or not. Harmless and objective are the defining characters of the visual electrophysiology detection technology. Besides, this technology can precisely position the causes of the eye diseases in retina or visual cortex.This paper describes current research situation of the visual electrophysiology in the diagnosing the glaucoma. Based on the basic principals of the visual electrophysiology, the systematic design of the detection of the visual electrophysiological signals is completed. Due to the fact that the electrophysiological signals emitting from human body is very weak and also weakened by the powerful background noise, the detection of visual electrophysiological signals is difficult. So, the removal of the background noise is the precondition of detecting visual electrophysiological signals. The separation of the signals and background noise can be achieved by Fourier algorithm and multivariate analysis, which can help attain the quality visual electrophysiological signals that satisfy clinic examination.The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:Brief introduction of the development and the current research situation of the visual electrophysiology; and the basic principals of Visual evoked potential and visual electrophysiology. These constitute the theoretical foundation and background of the following paper.To achieve the detection of the visual electrophysiological signals, this paper completes a systematic design of the visual electrophysiological detection, which includes:the design of stimulation system, the design of amplifier, system data conversion module. The signals are successfully extracted, separated, conversed and detected by the system identification theory.As for the multivariate statistical test, when the preset of the multi-round is completed, the application program will execute the DFT of the original data for FCI in each round interested. After the FCI is calculated, the average of FCI and noise circle radius (variation range) should be calculated. The signal-to-noise ratio or SNR will be used as an indicator in examining the visual function.This system will be used in clinical trials to verify if this system is useful in diagnosing glaucoma. The electrophysiological detector is of some value in diagnosis of the primary open-angle glaucoma and lay the foundation of screening glaucoma with electrophysiological detector.
