With the development of weapons technology, the weapon system has been turn to the model that the efficient damage ammunition is important. While the performance of the fuze directly related with the terminal damage effect of the ammunition. The thesis mainly studies the discrimination technique for the region of the burst fuze behind the target.Firstly, the development, the classification, the characteristics and the existing measurement methods of the proximity fuze were summarized, and then aiming at the measurement problem of the proximity fuze and basing on the technical index demands of the subject, three methods were put forward. The method for using trigger system to control area-array camera, which can achieve image acquisitions is choose. This plan is stable, reliable, easy, economic and reasonable. The composition and the working principle of the measurement system are introduced in detail.The delay trigger control device, including the muzzle flame detectors, the delay trigger controller and the wireless data transmission system, is designed in this thesis. The photoelectric detector type selection and a variety of circuit in the muzzle flame detector are introduced in detail. The delay trigger controller is introduced, and the design for the hardware, the delay logic circuit and the logic circuit simulation are completed. The type selection of the wireless data transmission system is introduced, etc. Both of the correctness and the reliability of the design are verified by the tests, the result shows that the circuit can achieve the demand.The image processing algorithm for the burst image acquired by the system is studied. The image processing algorithm is include denoises, binaryzation and edge extracting, and the location coordinates can be worked out. As a result, the height of the burst fuze can be discriminated.Finally, the image processing algorithm is verified by the static height demarcate tests and the burst height measurement tests. The tests results show that the algorithm can accurately obtain the height of burst, the measurement error is less than 15mm, which is less than the demand of the technical index of the burst fuze height discrimination technique.
