Transportation is the artery and the link of social and economic activities, at the same time, it plays a very important role in development of socio-economic and improvement of people’s living standards. In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, the traffic infrastructure, although is expanding constantly, the traffic condition is still deteriorating. The traffic safety situation is extremely severe. The traffic congestion is a common phenomenon in large and medium-sized cities. It also indicates that the relatively low utilization rate of transport infrastructure, the comparatively backward of traffic management technology and the urgent further improvement of intelligent degree. An Intelligent Transport System based on iOS is presented by considering static data, a poor user experience and bad innovation.This public transport service software is a commitment to improve pedestrian trip efficiency. The static vehicle information and dynamic vehicle location information are used in the system to be convenient for passengers to arrange travel plan and time, also improve the traffic operation condition. The design and implementation system satisfies the people’s demand for transportation system, and has a guiding role in the research and development of Intelligent Transport System.The Intelligent Transport System based on iOS uses C/S architecture, including the server, iOS client, traffic monitoring center system, network communication and so on. (1) The server adopts a lightweight JFinal framework and MySQL database for receiving users’ request, processing and returning the request data information to the client. (2) The iOS client provides the modularization with high cohesion and low coupling for interacting with the user, receiving users’input search request, sending the request message to the server and displaying the users’required data obtained to the user in a friendly way. (3) The vehicle terminal device of the traffic monitoring center system collects vehicle real-time GPS location information and transmits to traffic monitoring service center which sends vehicle data message to the server database. (4) The network communication using HTTP communication protocol, JSON data exchange format and the encryption system based on hybrid DES and RAS transmits data information between the client and the server reliably and safely.This system meets the original design requirements after a series of function tests and stability tests. The stability and reliability during system operation have achieved the standard, and the average 1.0s query time consumption is also ideal. The Intelligent Transport System has powerful function, simple construction, convenient for using and good stability. It not only enhances the passengers’travel efficiency and improves the users’travel experience, but also promotes the advance of Intelligent Transport System. It is also a landmark breakthrough in the development of Intelligent Transport System.
