Analysis On Application Of Agricultural Landscape In Modern City

China is an agricultural country with a large population. Land and agriculture are always the essential problems concerning about national economy and the people’s livelihood. Under the irreversible trend of urbanization, a large amount of cultivated lands have been invaded by the construction lands, which results in irreversible loss of land resources. Lands have lost the original ecological functions and production functions, which results in huge crisis of natural environment. However, as one kind of new landscape mode, the agricultural landscape has been applied to the modern city, which can both satisfy the living requirements of residents, but also guarantee the sustainable and healthy development of the city.The contents of this paper include origins of agricultural landscape in China and the West, development and changes, value of applying the agricultural landscape to modern city, problems confronted by the agricultural landscape.
