Hollow rotor motor is a kind of special structure. It has many advantages such as simple structure, high mechanical reliability, high energy density and good starting performance. At the same time, the rotor moment of inertia of small, fast response speed and good control performance are also its advantages. It gets more and more people’s attention in the high-speed high torque, high energy density and the servo system. But previous hollow rotor motor used as cup speed generator and used as a sensor, the purpose of this study is used as a power device, and the hollow rotor motor with traditional cup speed generator application occasions has different characteristics and property requirements.Hollow rotor motor has a simple structure, high efficiency, high power density, simple control and good stability, it can achieve high energy conversion efficiency, and it represents one of the development directions of the motor. It is based on the broad development prospect of the hollow rotor motor. The parameters of the hollow rotor motor are calculated by using the motor design formula, electromagnetic field analysis and finite element method. The Matlab optimization program and the finite element simulation are optimized and analyzed. The research has important practical significance and theoretical value. Project specific research contents include:1. The research status of the parameters calculation and performance analysis of the hollow rotor motor is investigated and summarized.According to the asynchronous motor design ideas, using the formula method, analytical method and finite element method for calculating the parameters of hollow rotor motor T type equivalent circuit, and especially the parameters calculation and the equivalent method of the double stator structure motor are derived in detail. It is given the advantages of thestructure.2. Using the formula calculation and the calculation of the parameters,the T type equivalent circuit of induction motor is established. The mechanical characteristics of the motor are calculated. The corresponding Matlab program is written. So we can draw the mechanical characteristic curve of hollow rotor motor under different frequency, voltage, current and the different parameters. Two power supply modes are considered: the constant voltage control input and the constant current control input. It lays the foundation for the optimization of motor performance. The mechanical properties of the hollow rotor motor are analyzed by using the method of finite element analysis. The finite element analysis software of Ansys and Ansoft are used to establish the finite element model of the motor. The torque under different rotor speed of the two dimensional linear harmonic field is calculated by using the stator through the slip frequency excitation the two-dimensional linear harmonic field. The calculations are taken into account the volatility of the structural details of the gap caused by the magnetic field, so the results are closer to the actual situation. In addition,the influence factors of the mechanical properties of the hollow rotor motor are calculated and analyzed. The influence of two kinds of rotor material, magnetic permeability, rotor resistance and rotor end effect on mechanical properties of 6061 aluminum and 10 steel is analyzed.3. Genetic algorithm is used to optimize the performance parameters of the motor, and a number of permanent magnet motor is used as the optimization case. The flexibility and effectiveness of the optimization program are described. Finally the optimization and analysis of the unique structure of hollow cup rotor motor are completed.
