Geotechnical engineering investigation is the basis of designing and constructing building foundation. However, there are some problems such as low level of testing skill and efficiency of geotechnical engineering investigation in Iraq. And the standard which accorded in Iraq is design by western countries. It has a lot of difference with Chinese standards. Therefore it is necessary to compare the difference of the concepts,theory and calculate method of foundation bearing capacity between China and western countries and obtain the formulas of foundation bearing capacity basis on standard of china and western countries. It has utility and promotional value. This paper compare the difference of calculation theory of foundation bearing capacity between Chinese Code for design of building foundation(GB5007-2011) and standard of American Society for Testing and Materials(ASTM D1194). The correlation of foundation bearing capacity and parameter of geotechnical in-situ test of Iraq halfaya oilfield is studied. The foundation bearing capacity empirical formula of Iraq halfaya oilfield was been obtained. The numerical models of load test are built based on GB5007-2011 and ASTM D1194 by ABAQUS and the difference are compared. The main study job of this paper as follow:(1) The differences of the theory of foundation bearing capacity of China and western countries are studied and the reasons of the differences of two standards are analyzed. The foundation bearing capacity calculation methods of Chinese and western countries standard and the conversion relationship were presented.(2) Based on the mathematical regression theory and method, the empirical formulas of Iraq halfaya oilfield were established combine with foundation bearing capacity, geotechnical in-situ test parameter and soil test parameter.(3) The differences of load test standard between GB5007-2011 and ASTM D1194 and the influence on making sure of the foundation bearing capacity value are analyzed. The numerical models are built based on GB5007-2011 and ASTM D1194 and the values of foundation bearing capacity based on GB5007-2011 are confirmed.And the conversion relation of value of china and American standard is built..
