Aiming at settling the problem that traditional control method of single phase BLDC (SPBLDC) motor can not meet the high speed requirements, including graded adjustable speed, high speed and high efficiency. A hybrid control method is proposed, which combines advantages of the phase advanced commutation control, commutation angle adjustment and freewheeling method, at the same time, meet application requirements of high performance and lower manufacturing costs. The design of the control system is completed and the control method is explored by simulations and experiments. Simulation and experimental results show that the requirements on performance of the motor applied to vacuum cleaner are fulfilled by the complex control methods.The research status of SPBLDC motor is reviewed, the working principle and the structual characteristics of SPBLDC motor are described and the mathematic model is derived. The ANSYS Maxwell is used to establish the two-dimensional finite element model of SPBLDC motors, and the cogging torque and back-EMF are analysed based on this model. The ANSYS Simplorer is utilized to build the simulation model of control system with which the finite element model is combined to compaign field-circuit coupled analysis. Based on this simulation, the optimal control parameters are derived so that performance requirements are satisfied. Based on the STM32F030T6K6 low-power microcontrollers, the hardware circuit is designed and producted and software of the motor control system is developed and debugged. The experiments are carried on and through these the effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified.
