Cylindrical molding materials are widely used in daily life and industrial production such as canned food, bottled drinks and electrolytic capacitor due to their fast shaping and easy circulation. Currently, the packaging material has been achieved cylindrical machine operation, but the majority of them are semi-automatic and can’t get rid of dependence on manpower. Fully automated capacitor feeding equipment is designed in such a background which aimed to completely get rid of the shackles of manpower to achieve fully automated capacitor package.Firstly, the design schemeof the capacitor feeding equipment was achieved through the module design method.And then the diagrams of the rotary indexing means, flipping means,detecting device and rotating device were draw by CAD. And virtualassemblagewas done by Solidworks for the important parts to get their 3D models.Secondly, in order to design a cam mechanism, a set of methods were putforward that using the Visual Basic programming language based on Solidworks to draw cam contourline and then got its 3D models and generated the cam motion simulation by the Solidworks Motion. And it was used to design and manufacture all cams that the equipment needs.Finally, the capacitor packaging equipment was designed and manufactured.Through the field testing, the structure of the equipment was reasonable and performance was reliable and efficiency was high.It met the pre-design requirements.
