With the expansion of production scale and the growth of engineering quantities in Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation. The originally designer use artificial methods to select the electrical equipment, but this way is not useful when the project management requirements is very big and complex. And artificial way is also too much based on the accumulation of experience, the design cycle time is long, the accuracy is not high and it’s not good for some big projects. So, Anshan Iron and Steel Information Industry Corporation plan to design an electrical equipment selection platform to achieve the goal of electrical equipment selection, improve the efficiency of product selection and solve the problems of the group corporation. Variable-frequency Drive selection is an important part of this design. As the development of variable frequency control technology, the Variable-frequency Drive has been widely applied on cold-rolling, hot-rolling, blast furnace, converter and other production line. And it makes a big effect on production. The selection of the Variable-frequency Drive will directly affect the reliability and efficiency of production. But, in the different applications, different Variable-frequency Drives are used. And the selection of the Variable-frequency Drive need to analyze many factors, and these factors are always complex.Aiming at these problems, by analyzing the status of the Variable-frequency Drive selection, combined with the actual situation, the design of concept and function of the Variable-frequency Drive selection which based on knowledge reuse technology proposed and completed. The theory of knowledge reuse and product selection is studied. Through the study of design based on knowledge reuse, the application of knowledge reuse in the selection especially the selection of the Variable-frequency Drive is analyzed, through the study of the Variable-frequency Drive selection, the principles of product selection and implementation are discussed.Based on Knowledge Reuse Technology which I have analyzed. I have designed an electrical equipments selection platform and analyzed the development process of electrical equipments selection platform which based on Knowledge Reuse Technology. The architecture and function modules of the platform is explore. The Variable-frequency Drive selection and Resource manage on the platform structure is analyzed and designed. At last, I use a cold rolling mill continuous annealing line to prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the platform.
