Frequency control of motor speed is more and more widely used by industry with the development of integrated circuit and power electronics, the decrease of power devices’price, the improvement of production technology recently. The performance of safety and stability is becoming more and more important. Therefore, the product test for inverters is necessary.A product test system was designed for E2 industrial inverters before leaving the factory, which is used to test E2 industrial inverters in its production to ensure that every inverter leaving factory is safe and stable. So far, the system has been used in E2 inverters production line stably, and the test result is good.Firstly, this paper gives the ideas and test requirements of E2 industrial inverter product test system, and the communication mode of inverters’main control chip. Secondly, this system adopts the way of parallel processing to shorten test period and to improve the quality of product test, and verifies the superiority of parallel processing way relative to the serial processing way. Thirdly, in order to release of the human eyes during digital display test, the system uses VDM modules of Lab VIEW to collect and to analyze the images of the inverters’ LED. Finally, the paper gives E2 industrial inverter product test system fully from the overall scheme, the hardware circuit and software of it.In terms of hardware circuit, this article divides the entire product test system into 12 parts, including short circuit test, key components test, loading the program, LED test, key test, analog and digital value input and output test, Fan output test, UART test, relay test, CAN communication test, temperature test and PWM signal test. According to different test modules, the paper designs the specific function circuit without any influence between various modules.In terms of software, this article establishes state machine mode to accomplish the logic jump between each state, establishes communication between the test system and the inverter according to the communication format of E2 inverters’main control chip, compiles the signal acquisition and processing subprogram according to the requirements of the test steps and the use of the data acquisition card, compiles the interactive interface for testers to use and to observe easily, gives the fault code, which is useful for the maintenance of the whole test system and the repair of the fault.
