As the m ost basic transportation, the hi ghway has becom e the core of m odern transportation with high efficiency and low cost. Fusion of rapid developm ent of economy and the global econom y, as a m ain mode of transportation modern logistics industry, the highway is developing rapidly. On the other hand, with the development of national income, the increase of automobile industry in our country and the c onvenient features of highway travel, it became a favor for car owners. Pr omote by two aspects, freight and passenger transport, the highway traffic growing exponentially. However, with the rapid development of China’s expressway, the capacity of toll station highway traffic can often not very good to match with the cap acity of highway to match, it leading to a frequent traffic jams in the station, which will cause the impact of the highway traffic capacity, and even made into a main road traffic disruption in serious way. At the same time, the bottleneck effect of the toll s tation traffic to the capacity of system is also reflected in the environmental pollution, traffic safety and other issues. The research work of expressway traf fic engineering in China is relatively backward, the design and construction specification of existing of toll s tation is not perfect, and the dom estic and foreign research has not formed a complete theory. In this paper, we make the m ain line toll station in Beijing Tianjin Hebei regio n as the res earch object, focus on the analysis of the ways to improve the traffic capacity of the toll station, and to provide a scientific basis for the management, construction planning and design of the toll station. This paper carries on the data survey of plane linear layout, vehicle parameters, the service charges of the status quo to the ex isting highway toll sta tion, to fully analysis the existing expressway traffic mode of operation, the flow characteristic of toll station, the congestion reasons and the advantages and di sadvantages of double charge mode, and to find out the breakthrough improvement of toll station. In the prem ise of conservation of land resources, and reduce the cost of the expansion, according to the related investigation and analysis, we will combined the current traffic engineering with the traffic engineering facility design standards, to puts forward new charges to improve the optim ization of the station model, and to determine the operation process, the linear parameter, the sign and the design, traffic control and emergency treatment. We will use the VISSIM simulation software to make the simulation calculation for the new toll station and establish the map with new model of toll station. This design realizes the improvement for the following three aspects: first, proposed firstly the lane model of Double Export multi-point toll collection for the small bus, establish the new schem e of traf fic flow assignment. Through computer simulation, we make an optim ization to the toll lane length, on the purpose of increase the operating efficiency optimization of th e toll station. The new model significantly improves traffic capacity of the toll stations, which has a great significance for alleviating traffic congestion. Second, optimize the toll station layout, to make full use the space in longitudinal of the station. To improve the rate of land use fees of the station, and save the land area. It can help to alleviate the contradiction between the intense traffic construction and the cultivated la nd. Third, by reducing congestion, queuing vehicle starting and the frequency of braking, reducing fuel consumption and emissions, the new model save resources, protect the environment, and provide a new idea for low carbon transportation.
