It is more important monitoring during the night for the whole video secure monitoring system. Monitoring during the night need more technology and qualification than what the monitoring during the day need. However, there are two disadvantages in service. Firstly, it is limited to CCD,s inductive zone. In the second place, the brightness of infrared ray is not enough in some specific occasions. In order to get the best effect in monitoring during the night, people have to use the extra device of supplementary lighting.There are some shortcomings about the device of supplementary lighting in the surveillance camera. For example, the range of lighting is not enough and immutable some occasions in night. Besides, the device has the excessive power dissipation. I discuss a device called micro zoom LED infrared illuminator in view of these reasons. In this illuminator, the change of light emitting angle is continuous, which lead to the angle of view changed from 2°to 50° and the range of lighting changed from 120 meters to 150 meters. Also, it has nice effect. So it is really a practical and functional illuminator. In the distance, the angle of divergence is smaller and the property of light gathering is better. On the contrary, the angle of divergence is bigger enough to raise lighting range. Besides, there is just one LED chip in the illuminator and the maximum power about the whole machine is just 6w. In the end, it is full of strong practicability and its appearance is small and light. So it can provide theoretical reference for the field in the night vision and supplemental lighting.
