At present, the effect of the joint stiffness and steel plate wall on lateral resistant of steel plateshear wall structure is still not reported. Based on the previous study results, the paper adopts the anslysis method of theory and finite element, and establishes spatial analysis models, which mainly analyze the lateral resistant of steel plate shearwall structure of different semi-rigid connections.The main works will be elaborated as follows:(1) The acticle analyses a double and single span the frame structure model by changing the joint stiffness, using the standard method analyses the effective length factor of frame column with sway frame and braced frame, the theoretical analysis shows that the effect of the joint stiffness on the effective length factors of frame column is huge.(2) In order to study the effect of steel plate walls on the lateral resistantof frame, established the three finite element,such as the frame with rigid joints and the steel plate shear wall with rigid joints, the frame with four angles connection and the steel plate shear wall with four angles connection, the frame with flush end plate connection and the steel plate shear wall with flush end plate connection are established, the three groups of finite element models are analyzed by longitudinal comparison, discussing the influence of the joint and steel plate walls on lateral resistant of steel plateshear wall structure.(3) Study the effect rules of ratio(λ) of height to thickness of steel plate walls on the lateral resistant of frame.The results indicate that thesteel plateshear wall structurehave good lateral resistant and outstanding energy dissipation capacity whileincrease the ratio(λ) of height to thickness of steel plate walls(the height of steel plate wall reduced),the lateral displacement of the structure under the same lateral force is obviously smaller,but the height of steel plate wall has little effect to maximum lateral displacement of the whole structure.
