With the development of automotive technology, in order to meet the demand for handling and stability, and now a lot of high-class cars, especially as the SUV rear axle is designed to form an adjustable. For assembly plant, a wheel alignment inspection station not only to do front wheel adjustment, but also on the rear wheel. the adjustment time is greatly increased compared to the previous, how to ensure the assembly plant productivity is facing new challenges.The research objective is to improve the efficiency of automobiles assembly line wheel alignment detection, here put up a new method for online testing of the rear axle. Separate the rear positioning adjustment from the wheel alignment inspection station, online testing and adjusting the bridge camber and toe angle of the rear axle assembly after the work is completed. The method proposed here for the rear axle line detection has been studied in the following areas:(1) Depth study of the generation mechanism of camber and toe angle these two positioning parameters, analyse the influence of positional parameters for handling and stability. Fundamentally elaborate he necessity rear axle alignment parameters detecting, Study the testing standards formulated by the state for in detail, description determine how to adjust the target parameters of the rear axle line testing equipment.(2) Build the mathematical modeling of measurement of the rear axle camber and toe angle and find the relations between the positioning parameters and measurements by a mathematical formula. Put forward specific detection method, a detailed description of the dynamic multi-point measurements in this study as specific implementation process.Give the overall design on the rear axle line testing equipment and designed the workflow. Hardware and software measurement systems are designed to expand the research, finally designed hardware and software options apply to this method.(3) Make the rear axle online detection error analysis; Build the mathematical modeling of the brake disc jitter on the measurement, detailed deduced the error from brake disc jitter during rotation caused; Proposed methods to guide calibration of the sensor, use BP neural network learning and training sample data, make the error compensation to measurement results error; Study the approach to measurement process outlier and use of mathematical statistics in 3σ criterion for comparing the measured data screening, and ultimately eliminate abnormal data, reduce the measurement of gross error.The main content of this paper mainly from the theoretical aspects, make a overall design of the new method for on-line measurement of the rear axle alignment parameters, provides a new reference method for assembly line detection of wheel alignment and it is a very meaningful field of automotive testing research, provide a theoretical basis for the future development and design of concrete.
