Research And Assessment On Practical Design Of The Underground Integrated Transportation System In Zhu Jiang New Town Core Area

In this thesis, author selects the underground integrated transportation system in the core area of Zhu Jiang New Town as the study subject, carrying out in-depth analysis. Author analyzes the process of its development, as well as summarizes and evaluates its practical design achievements. The system is studied and elaborated in different scales and aspects with time and space for clues. The thesis is divided into three parts.Part one, chapter 1:As a brief this part introduces the study background, current research situation, study subject and its range, research aiming and meanings, and the frame work of the thesis.Part two, chapter 2 to 3:The second part of the thesis chronologically describes the development of the underground integrated transportation system in the core area of Zhu Jiang New Town. It starts by introducing the background of times in a global perspective for the underground integrated transportation system and analyzing successful domestic and overseas practices in globally famous CBD areas. Then the features and achievements of the practical design for these systems are summarized and elaborated in separated stages in details.Part three, chapter 4 to 6Author describes and analyzes the design frame and features in spatial clues for the underground integrated transportation system in Zhu Jiang New Town in this part. The thesis firstly addresses the strategies and methods to discover and solve problems for the underground integrated transportation system in macro urban planning perspective. Then in a micro perspective, more in an architectural design level, author categorizes and analyzes the essential elements of practical design programs for underground integrated transportation systems of the core areas, and evaluates the pros and cons for each sub-system of these programs. Finally in the conclusion, author evaluates the practical design and practices of the underground integrated transportation system in Zhu Jiang New Town. The thesis makes effort to analyze and summarize the practical experience objectively and rationally, and makes suggestions for domestic similar undertaking projects.Author utilizes documentary summary, comparative analysis and field survey as research methods, comprehensively and systematically studying the practical designs and practices of the underground integrated transportation system in ZHU JIANG NEW TOWN. The thesis is supposed to fill the research blank because of the existing divided focuses in this area. In addition, the thesis is prepared to provide essential design and practical experience for the developers and urban planners to develop similar projects.
