Electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle has a variety of structural forms, depending on the type of motor and drive system used. Anti-Directional-Dual-Rotor Motor is one kind of new drive motor, which combines drive, differential and recovery of brake energy, with high power density, high efficiency and light weight, etc. It is an ideal electric vehicle drive system. However, due to its poor working conditions, the heat in this condition cannot be quickly disseminated, which may lead to a rise in temperature. Therefore, the life of double-rotor motor may shorten.The accurate calculation of the dual-rotor motor losses is closely related to the temperature of dual-rotor motor. In order to accurately analyze the dual-rotor motor loss, including winding losses, core losses and permanent loss, etc. Based on the Maxwell equations, electromagnetic finite element numerical calculation and experimental test mutual authentication method is proposed. What the experiment show is that the motor has a stable torque characteristics at different speeds. According to the comparative analysis results, the method is suitable to the future analysis. What’s more, the dynamic loss characteristic of different motor speed and load conditions is analyzed.Dual-rotor motor temperature rises will affect the performance and the reliability of the motor directly. According to the basic theory and computational fluid dynamics, the calculation method for solving heat transfer is determined. Set up one kind of method with discrete load speed and current load operating conditions in order to fully reflect the real situation of natural ventilation dual rotor temperature field.The oil spray cooling system is designed to solve the difficulty of cooling. The heat sources are rotating parts, including the windings, permanent magnet, etc. With the oil spray cooling system, on one hand, the cooling medium can contract with the heat source directly to enhance the cooling effect, on the other hand, the media can serve as lubrication inside the motor and promote the motor overall efficiencies. The coupling analysis of temperature and fluid field is made to show the motor temperature rises in the integrated operating conditions. According to the characteristic of dual-rotor, different data collection methods are used to verify the reliability of motor.The effects of oil spray dual-rotor motor factors are analyzed to reveal different sensitivities to the influence of the temperature of the motor. What the different inlet oil flow rate numerical calculations reveal fluid flow rate variation of the motor temperature. Through the comparative analysis of core loss and the permanent magnet eddy current loss, how they reflect the temperature field can be known.
