Research On The Appearance Design Of Stadium In Small And Medium-sized Cities Based On The Resource-saving Concept

Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China: Research on the Design of Sports Center in Small and Medium-sized Cities based on the the needs of national fitness(project approval number : 51178130), this thesis research on the appearance design of stadium in small and medium-sized cities.The stadium construction of the small and medium-sized city is closely bound up with its’ economic forces, city planning, urban texture and historical background. With the exceedingly construct of the metropolis’ stadium in recent years, architects are more willing to focus on the infrastructure related to venues in small and mediumsized cities. However, many problems occurs and the gap has been rising in building stadium between our country and abroad at the same time due to the fact that the design theory and guidance in small and medium-scized cities still remains to be complete.The thesis, with investigation and research, is based on the resources-saving concept of the small and medium-sized cities’ stadium building design and put forward the design principles from two aspect, which are size and interface. First of all, according to the survey of the small and medium-sized cities, the thesis summarizes the existing problems, analyzes the factor that causes the situation, researches the resources-saving concept; Then, the paper apply the resources conservation philosophy which belongs to the category of social economics to the stadium building in small and medium-sized cities, to achieve the requirement of land-saving, material-saving and energy-saving; At last, the thesis proposed two new theory about the controllability of the size and simplicity of the interface, on account of the characteristics in building stadium in small and medium-sized cities. The design of stadium in small cities always starts from the inside to outside. The first step is positioning the stadium’s appearance, determine the size and scale; Then choose the structure model reasonably; Third, consider using local materials and processing detail of the interface simple design; Finally, in order to reflect the resources-saving concept, apply the sustainable design concept and appropriate technology to the stadium design in small and medium-sized cities.The thesis is based on the investigation of the stadiums’ appearance in small and medium-sized cities, combining a large number of theoretical research results both from domestic and abroad and in this paper, which is explaining the building size, scale control, structure selection, material selection, detail processing, energy conservation and emission reduction in detail. The thesis discussed the practical issues in building stadium in small and medium-sized cities, and explored the stadium form design, proposed the form design principles in small and medium-scale cities which provides a reference and theoretical basis for architecture in small and medium-sized cities.
