The Interactive Design Of City Waterfront Public Space

Water is the important resources for the survival of humans, and humans are born with the desire for water. Waterfront public space is the valuable natural resources of the city, but also the leisure entertainment places with the higher public participation in the city, or the important image window of the city. With the acceleration of city urbanization development, people’s demands for social public life has gradually improved, so the design of city waterfront public space get a new opportunity. But now the design of city waterfront public space pay more attention on the external display image design, lacking of considering the interaction between space and people from the people use and psychological perspective, so it has caused problems about the lack of urban vitality. Therefore, the in-depth study for the interaction between people and city waterfront public space is necessary.The paper firstly puts forward the field research on the existing waterfront public space, makes thorough analysis of the problems, and summarizes the problems about the lack of interaction between waterfront public space and people. Then the paper introduces the method of interactive design, and finds out the necessity of the combination of the city waterfront public space and interactive design. Based on the multidisciplinary research such as the city space design, landscape science, ecology, behavior psychology and so on, the paper puts forward strategies and methods of the interactive design of waterfront public space, trying to optimizing the interaction relations of city waterfront public space and human.This paper establish the framework of the whole paper mainly from the following five chapters:Firstly, introduction: It puts forward the research origin, the research situations, the purpose and meanings of the research, and the definition of related concepts, the methods and contents of the research, the research framework.Secondly, analysis of the problems: It is to analyze and summarize the results of the on-site investigation to the existing city waterfront public space, and then to put forward various problems of city waterfront public space in the present.Thirdly, the introduction of methods: It is to introduce the method of interactive design with discussing the relevant ideas and effects of interactive design, and then to put forward the necessity of the combination between waterfront public space and interactive design. Then it will conduct the specific analysis of the related research of interactive design of waterfront public space.Fourthly, design strategies: Through the detailed discussion of interactive design of waterfront public space in the previous chapter, it will propose the strategies and methods of interactive design of waterfront public space.Fifthly, the engineering practice: Taking the Ximen waterfront leisure sports square project in Xuanhan as an example, it is to carry on the practice to test the related strategies and design methods.
