The navigation system based consisting of Inertial Navigation System(SINS) and the Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) has become the main navigation system of the carrier-based aircraft. The use of computer simulation technology to develop aircraft carrier INS/navigation system digital simulation, analog output under its navigation data alignment process and dynamic environment, achieving inertial navigation system alignment experiments, navigation system performance analysis, integrated avionics test and other important means of experimental subjects. In this paper, we study carrier-based aircraft navigation system, and using of VC ++ software platform design the aircraft carrier INS/navigation system digital simulator. The main research work and the innovative points include:1. First of all, aircraft carrier INS/navigation system digital simulator designed. Functional requirements of the emulator to perform analysis detailed. In the end, the functions of the simulator modules divided in detail.2. Established inertial devices and GNSS error model, simplifying INS attitude, velocity and position update algorithm, designed to facilitate the programming of the INS/navigation system model. Meanwhile, for the carrier-based aircraft SINS rapid transfer alignment problems, designed and improved the transfer alignment algorithm of velocity plus attitude matching and angular rate plus force matching. Completed digital simulation for two matching program.3. Based upon VC++.NET development platform, designed SINS transfer alignment virtual simulation system based on carrier’s space motion with C++/CLI programming technology. Designed shipboard Inertia/navigation system digital simulator, designed simple and intuitive, easy-to-navigate multifunction cockpit displays.4. Software designing methods, such as object-oriented programming, multithreading, dynamic link libraries, reduced the coupling degree of the system, improved the speed of system’s operation, realized system’s reusability, maintainability and scalability. With UDP socket’s use, the data sharing among different simulation devices has become more smoothly.5. Ultimately, a large number of tests of the simulation system are carried out in the different working modes, different flight conditions and different inertial device accuracies. The position precision, attitude precision and velocity precision of the SINS and SINS/GPS are calculated with the methods of error compute.
