Now, with the popularity of vehicles and highway, regional exchanges more frequently, this greatly improved the human activity areas. However, precisely because of this, led to the problem of finding the destination error, traffic congestion, and other issues affecting the efficiency of the work occurs. The appearances of GPS car navigation system not only solve the above problems, but also provide more convenient services for people to travel. It is essential for the long-haul car. Compared with GPS car navigation systems internationally, our product is relatively backward, low degree of intelligence. Therefore, combining with GPS and GPSOne hybrid technology, and using Linux as the operating system for embedded system GPS car navigation systems research, is with very realistic scientific value.In the actual city environment due to buildings and trees such as barrier, sometimes accuracy of GPS positioning will be greatly reduced, or even unable to receive the signal, while the GPSOne positioning can just make up for this shortcoming, and also can finish the remote transmission of location data, but it also produces the communication cost. So the system is introduced GPSOne technology in addition to the traditional GPS, making accuracy of positioning system greatly improved, so the location error is reduced to below 5 meters. The high precision positioning is coming true. Using hybrid positioning technology is one of the innovations of system, which distinguished from the general navigation equipment based on GPS. The system makes full use of the advantages of the two technologies. It uses GPS positioning in the broad area such as suburbs, and GPSOne for positioning in built-up urban area. It also increases the reliability and real-time positioning.Logistics industry is an essential basic industry to promote the rapid development of the national economy, but because of real-time monitoring of vehicle dynamic information of task execution has not been solved, and the information feedback is not timely, inaccurate, incomprehensive, and other issues directly lead to the great waste of manpower and high operation cost. The system,because of its global, real-time, all-weather, continuous, fast, high precision vehicle dynamic positioning function, so it can be assembled in vehicles of logistics and transport industry, using this system can also timely grasp of the upstream and downstream supply chain information, which is advantageous to provide users with a more comprehensive service. Because GPS itself has the ability of information processing and transmission speed, so it will help managers to plan and decision, so that we can further reduce the cost of logistics. The system uses a hybrid positioning technologies which could enable the driver to get the best transportation route in the transport process, and get the best solution of the transport process.Firstly, the passage uses Linux-based embedded systems, ARM nuclear-based S3C2410 as hardware platform of development, design circuit diagrams of each module, which contains GPS positioning module, GPSOne positioning module, storage module and serial module. Then, based on S3C2410 hardware platform, using Linux as the operating system, building a system of cross-development environment, completing the Linux kernel porting, Flash burning and starting porting and other functions, and doing detail design in car navigation systems. Then we complete the design of electronic map, which can automatically download and update the map. Due to the design of the embedded system, the system memory costs very little, so it can make the system run faster, so that users have a better experience. Finally, after the software and hardware debugging, we basically complete the initial functions of navigation, positioning and route planning. After the design we test the software and hardware of system, including the various modules and functions of interface. Through system testing, it shows that this system is meet the basic business logic, and ensures the stability and security of the system, as far as possible to meet the user’s requirements for navigation accuracy. In addition, the system also has a friendly user interface, the rela tively low cost of producing. It can be widely equipped in today’s logistics industry vehicle.
