In recent years, with the development of aviation and electronic technology, the UAV has been rapid development in the performance, with the flying mission increasing of UAV, the failure frequency of FCS increasing too. Flight control computer(FCC) is the core part of the UAV flight control system, its stability directly influences the performance of flight control system, thereby affecting the safety and task execution ability of UAV. Usually, the FCC of higher reliability index requirements models usually designed using the redundancy technology. In order to avoid the similar failure accident caused by similar redundancy structure and the random fault caused by non similarity redundancy structure, this paper presents the study about designing FCC using hybrid redundant technology based on embedded kernel Power PC and x86.Firstly, according to the researches of the applications and recent developments of the redundancy technology of FCS design, a hybrid redundant FCC structure is determined; an engineering design is made according to the vital factors such as weight, volume, cost and other factors.Secondly, combined with the functional needs of UAV flight control computer, hardware structures and resources required in the FCC design are configured rationally, and the PC/104 is selected to build the flight control computer hardware platform. Then, according to the redundancy management requirements, a special redundancy management board is designed, which achieved the functions of synchronization, data exchange and output switching; the corresponding flight control program is compiled, which could achieve the function of data collection and control cycle refurbishment.Finally, in order to verify the rationality and validity of the design scheme, using Markor model to analysis the reliability, and set up a special test program, according to the long time tests of logical functions, the results show that the design scheme is scientific and accurate, the key technical issues are resolved, the hybrid redundant flight control computer kernel performance indexes can meet the application requirements of UAV.
